Come and have a mosey around our eclectic mix of mid-century and vintage furniture and home accessories alongside gorgeous new modern designs. The MoseyHome style is all about putting old and new pieces together in an easy, unpretentious way. Our aim is to source classic and quirky designs as well as little seen rarities whilst remaining affordable and accessible. It is not about being slick and polished but about being passionate and responsive.
MoseyHome belongs to Mary le Comte, a former V&A Museum Events and Programmes Manager with a sharp eye for finding great pieces of furniture and homeware . After 12 years of developing courses, study days and talks from Medieval art to Post Modern architecutre, and working alongside artists, designers, curators and beautiful objects, she brings a real passion for design to MoseyHome. With a particular enthusiasm for C20th design Mary is only too happy to share her knowledge and ideas about furniture and interiors, past and present. Having worked with the museum visitor audience and given design talks herself at the V&A she knows what good communication involves and really enjoys the fun and inspiration a good discussion can generate. Mary loves the fact that the objects at MoseyHome will often have a story behind them or spark a memory for someone. So she still gets to talk about the objects just as she did at the musuem - the big difference being that the MoseyHome customers can walk out of the shop with the objects and make a home for them in their own interiors.
The ever changing stock means that there is always a new perspective at the MoseyHome shop. But it's more than just a shop: MoseyHome is a creative hub, a space for workshops and talks and a place to try something new. Above all, we're a meeting of minds, as passionate about good design as you are. We're always happy to provide advice, ideas, inspiration - or just chat.
We also offer assistance and consultancy for interior styling - contact us if you'd like more info or just come up and see us. We also loan objects, source objects and can generally talk about our objects a lot! We're at 28 Stroud Green Road, two minutes' walk from Finsbury Park station, right at the heart of the dynamic N4 cultural quarter.
